Excellent education is a great investment for your future, thus you have to consider how you will finance your studies. Riga Business School allows you to spread a payment into three or four years for your convenience. In addition, we provide scholarships and there are also many banks granting student loans.

*These fees are indicated for students who do not pursue double degree studies. For the study year abroad in the University at Buffalo or BI Norwegian Business School, the tuition fee is determined by the respective universities.

Loans secured by the Government of Latvia

The Government of Latvia provides a partial guarantee for two types of student loans:

Study loan

Funds to cover tuition fees at accredited higher

education establishments and colleges in Latvia

and abroad.

Student loan

funds to cover daily needs of students during

studies (only for full-time students).

Since August 2020 these loans are administered by Altum.

Other loans

Riga Business School provides academic and talent scholarships as well as need-based grants, employment and internship opportunities. The scholarships cover studies at RBS in Riga. If the student chooses to spend a year in either BI Norwegian Business School or University at Buffalo School of Management, the scholarship does not apply for the year spent abroad. Application deadline for the scholarships is the early admission deadline (except RBS Greenhouse Program scholarship).

RBS Excellence Scholarship

RBS Excellence Scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the 3-year BBA and for the 4-year BITL program in Riga. The scholarship is granted for the first study year, and the student’s academic performance determines whether the scholarship is extended to other study years.

This scholarship is available for students with:

  • Outstanding grades;
  • Significant extracurricular activities;
  • Motivation and leadership:
  • Excellent English, which is measured by the results of the international exams 
    •  IELTS at least 6.5
    • TOEFL ITP at least 550
    • TOEFL IBT at least 79

RBS Greenhouse Program scholarship
and study discounts

RBS Greenhouse is a 3-week program taking place at the end of January/February 2023, and it prepares ambitious and motivated high school students for bachelor-level studies.

It is an opportunity to learn about studying in RBS. You will experience how we work, which is as practical as possible and involves many industry experts and leaders. This lets you apply advanced theory in practice in near real-time.

The top performer of the program receives scholarship for studies at RBS for his or her first year while the next four top performing students receive a 20% discount for studies at RBS (for the first year). Read more and apply here.

RBS Basketball Scholarship

RBS x LJBL basketbola stipendija sedz pilnu studiju maksu vienam studentam jebkurā no abām bakalaura programmām

This scholarship is available for a student with:

  • 5 year experience with the Latvian Youth Basketball League (LJBL);
  • Average grade (in form 11 and 12) – at least 7.0;
  • Active participation in LJBL activities.

Student Union Scholarship

The candidates are evaluated each year after the first semester. To be eligible for the scholarship, the average grade should be at least 8,

the candidate must be actively involved in  student life and cannot have any failed courses. Each student can apply two times. The scholarship receiver is determined jointly by the faculty and Student Union board. The scholarship recipient has a 50% discount for the second semester. 

RBS Appreciation Discount

The 10% discount is available to the children of RBS Alumni/Students of degree-granting programs (BBA, BITL, PMBA, EMBA). RBS reserves the right to exercise its discretion in decisions for any individual case.
