We are happy to announce that  the annual RBS Commencement Ceremony will take place on June 7th, from 12:00 till 14:00 at the Riga Technical University “Domus Auditorialis” hall, located at Zunda Krastmala 8, Ķīpsala, Rīga. 

We look forward to celebrating this wonderful event and have prepared a short checklist:

Arrival Time: Please arrive at the venue at 11:10 AM to collect your Commencement attire and to do other formalities related to the event.

Gown Rental: Gowns will be available for rent on-site for a EUR 20 non-refundable fee (cash or card payments accepted). Traditional square hats will also be provided. All items must be returned after the ceremony ends.

Tassel and Hood Placement:

Master’s graduates: Place tassel on the left side of the hat; carry the hood until the hooding ceremony.

Bachelor’s graduates: Tassel on the right side of the hat.

Diploma Presentation:

Master’s graduates: kneel on one knee while being hooded.

Bachelor’s graduates: you will be handed your diploma directly.

Group photos: After the end of the ceremony, please do not disperse and follow directions to the group photo location and hat tossing ceremony!

End of the ceremony: You are very much welcomed to take individual photos with your friends inside and outside the building. We also invite you to enjoy light refreshments on the second floor as we continue the celebration.

Seating: All Graduates will be guided to their reserved seating in the hall. Non-reserved seats are all available for your guests.

Parking options: Free weekend parking is available at the nearby T/C Olimpija. You can also park on the RTU parking lot and receive a fully paid parking chip at Gown rental. Please make sure to park at the correct RTU parking lot: RTU Parking Map.
