The pre-acceleration program “Innovation Academy” initiated by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) and implemented by Riga Business School has started its third year, gathering 145 participants. Continuing the promotion of innovation in education and the gradual transfer of world best practices to Latvian higher education institutions, an international higher education conference, 'Light Up Latvia,' will take place on November 9th of this year. To promote the learning of technology even if one's main field of study is something else, this autumn, all students at Latvian higher education institutions - both in bachelor's and master's degree programs - are invited to learn the basics of computer science and programming.
