On Saturday, February 8th, the fourth annual RBS Greenhouse program concluded. Designed to give young people insight into the study process and introduce them to modern, international education opportunities in Latvia in English, Riga Business School (RBS), brought together 78 high school students, 71 of whom successfully completed the program.
The program was open to 10th to 12th-grade students, offering an engaging experience in business and IT-related topics. The main theme of 2025 was Artificial Intelligence (AI), which students explored through lectures and masterclasses. Participants also had the opportunity to visit leading companies such as KPMG and Luminor, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world business environments.
One of the program’s key components was a business challenge prepared by Tietoevry. Over three weeks, 14 teams worked intensively to develop the best solutions, with the winning team being Team 10, consisting of Kristians Kulbergs, Sanda Čunka, Daniela Frolova, Artūrs Novickis, Kirils Sakss.
Additionally, the five most active participants were recognized for their engagement and outstanding performance in the “elevator pitch” challenge—a short, persuasive speech designed to clearly explain why they deserve to be the Greenhouse winner. Artūrs Novickis was named the most active participant of RBS Greenhouse 2025, earning a 100% tuition scholarship for his first year at Riga Business School. The 2nd to 5th place participants—Daniels Tālis, Samuels Rozentāls, Laura Egle, and Katrīna Kassaliete—each received a 20% tuition discount for their first year of studies.
To evaluate the results, a panel of five judges participated in the program: two representatives from Tietoevry—Dagnija Sedleniece and Elīna Pastare, Eduards Lapiņš from Submerge, entrepreneur and RBS lecturer Kārlis Zars, and Claudio Rivera, the Director of the Bachelor’s program at RBS.
This year, 65.4% of participants came from Riga schools, while 34.6% were from surrounding areas such as Mārupe, Babīte, Sigulda, Jelgava, Madona and others.
The RBS Greenhouse 2025 program was supported by Tietoevry, Luminor, KPMG, Tet, AI Studio, SEB, Ezītis Miglā, and Liepkalni Bakery. The program’s informational partner was the magazine “IR.”
