Study process Planning and Coordinating Specialist

The mission of Riga Business School at Riga Technical University is to provide a modern and international education for leaders in a technology-based world. Riga Business School is located in Riga, Latvia, but provides studies for both local and foreign students. RBS provides two bachelor programs in Business Administration and IT Leadership, and a Professional MBA and Executive MBA, as well as coordinates several innovative educational programs with international partners.

We are seeking Study process Planning and Coordinating Specialist

for Pre-University program and Executive Education program

(Full-time temporary job for ~1.5 year)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure communication with prospective students, facilitating the start of their studies.
  • Receive and register students’ applications and documents, organise students’ record keeping, prepare and maintain students’ personal files and other documents in accordance with RTU RBS document nomenclature.
  • Process financial documentation as required.
  • Organise enrolment activities at RBS, ensure compliance with the requirements of the regulatory enactments.
  • Prepare technical specifications for negotiated procedures for individual procurements.
  • Participate in programme team planning sessions and initiate such for student service or study process improvements.
  • Support students in academic and administrative matters – make recommendations and address student concerns.
  • Participate in programme and course quality assessment by providing feedback from student evaluations.
  • To also liaise with lecturers involved in programme delivery to resolve administrative issues.
  • To follow up on the plans of the students of the identified programmes and to initiate the necessary actions to achieve the objectives together with the Programme Manager and the Marketing Project Manager.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position;
  • Understanding of the University’s study process and the activities involved in its successful management;
  • Excellent knowledge of Latvian (C1 level) and very good knowledge of English (B2 level);
  • Good digital skills;
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
