Senior Project Manager position for digital skills initiatives at Riga Business School, Riga Technical University, for a specific project duration (until June 2026).

Riga Business School (RBS), as a structural unit of Riga Technical University (RTU), invites applications for a Senior Project Manager position in the field of digital skills initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead the conceptualization of several projects related to the development of digital skills and information and communication technology (ICT). Additionally, in this position, you will be able to participate in the implementation of RTU RBS digital skills development program strategies.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead Riga Business School (RBS) in the execution of tasks outlined in the partnership agreement of the collaboration project “Development of AI – ICT for Manufacturing EDIH in Latvia” (EDIHLV) (project No. 101083983). Ensure the daily operation of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (AI lab) and the implementation of digital skills development for companies (EDIC) as one of the main project partners. The project aims to provide registered enterprises in the Republic of Latvia with fundamental digital, robotics, and automation skills, digital transformation, and digital innovation skills that promote the facilitation of exports. Also, to ensure high-level digital governance skills at the corporate management level and skills in utilizing digital technologies in various business processes.
  2. Collaborate with the project team to develop the concept for RTU RBS Digital Skills Initiative projects and oversee their implementation.
  3. Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of subordinate employees, ensuring the strategic and daily management of the team.
  4. Plan, coordinate, and oversee the work of external partners.
  5. Ensure project and budget planning, develop an activity plan, and plan resources.
  6. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with the conditions of the project partnership agreement and regulatory requirements.
  7. Monitor the maintenance process of the AI lab and control the achievement of its goals.
  8. Participate in the development of the content of the AI lab activities and ensure alignment with its objectives.
  9. Coordinate the project’s training and content plan and ensure its implementation according to project objectives, timelines, and defined tasks.
  10. Handle procurement processes if needed, and prepare technical specifications as needed.
  11. Maintain collaboration with third parties involved in the project.
  12. Prepare and present reports and summaries on project progress to management and partners.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, IT, or project management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and administration.
  • Excellent knowledge in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
  • Fluency in Latvian (C1 level) and English (B1 level) is required.
  • Excellent leadership, presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Developed analytical thinking.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

  • Experience in managing projects financed by EU funds might be considered as an advantage.
  • Master’s degree in business management, economics, IT, or project management.

  • From EUR 2500.00 to EUR 2976.00 (gross).
