Course Objective

Pressure, uncertainty, and continuous change are part of modern leadership. This course helps participants develop psychological resilience—the ability to maintain balance, make effective decisions, and continue performing under challenging circumstances. The course is based on CBT and ACT approaches.

Course Overview and Key Topics

1. Psychological Resilience and its dimensions
  • What is psychological resilience? Research findings, common myths, and how it differs from stress management.
  • Types of psychological resilience.
  • Psychological resilience – my current resources and strengths.
2. Mental Resilience and Cognitive Flexibility
  • How pressure affects our thinking processes.
  • Why is it important to recognize automatic thoughts? The ABC model and the relationship between what I feel and what I think.
  • Do I recognize my typical thinking errors? How can I reduce their impact?
  • Is it always worth believing my thoughts? How catastrophic scenarios are created and how to reframe them.
  • Understanding and reassessing my sphere of influence.
  • My thoughts are not me – how observing thoughts and distancing myself from them can help in stressful situations.
3. Values-Based Action
  • My values map.
  • Values-based action and how awareness of personal values can help strengthen psychological resilience at work.
4. Emotional Resilience
  • Recognizing emotions without automatically acting on them as an important method of emotional regulation.
  • Why uncertainty creates such difficult emotions and how to support yourself despite them.
  • When things do not go as planned – how to provide yourself with support after failures and mistakes.
5. Physical Resilience and Self-Care
  • How pressure affects our bodies and what the distress tolerance window means.
  • Everyday self-care – when activating activities are needed and when calming activities are more appropriate.
  • What can I do in the office to help my body cope with pressure?
  • When mindfulness practices can help – and when they cannot.
6. Mindfulness and a Personal Resilience Plan
  • Developing my personal psychological resilience plan.
