Applying to the Riga Business School (RBS) Bachelor program is a structured process designed to assess not only academic performance but also a candidate’s motivation, interests, and potential to thrive in an international environment.

The process begins with demonstrating English language proficiency, as all studies at RBS are conducted in English. Applicants are required to submit results from a recognized language test, most commonly:

• TOEFL iBT (minimum score of 70)
• IELTS (minimum score of 6.0)
• Edusynch (B2 level)

If an applicant has not yet completed one of these tests, it is still possible to begin the application process and receive guidance on taking the Edusynch test.

First step is submitting an online application through the DreamApply platform. Applicants are asked to provide several key documents:

• secondary school transcripts (Grades 10, 11, and grade 12 first semester)
• details about extracurricular activities
• a motivational letter
• a copy of a passport or ID
• two references

At this stage, particular attention is paid not only to overall academic performance but also to results in Mathematics, English, and subjects related to Economics and Business.

Following the submission, all applicants are required to take the Math Entrance Exercise (MEE). This assessment plays an important role in evaluating analytical thinking and quantitative skills. It is based on high school-level mathematics and is an essential component of the selection process.

The final stage is an interview with RBS representatives. This provides an opportunity to better understand the applicant’s motivation, goals, and interest in the chosen field of study. It also allows the admissions team to assess communication skills and overall engagement beyond academics.
