2.How do I apply?

Once your application is complete, you will receive all the necessary information on e-mail.
3.What documents do I need to prepare?
You should prepare your latest school transcripts (typically Grades 10–12), a copy of your passport or ID, proof of English proficiency, if you have it, two recommendation letters, and a personal motivation statement. You will also need to confirm payment of the application fee.

4.Do I need to prove my English skills?
Yes. Since all courses are taught in English, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. This can be done by submitting an international test such as IELTS or TOEFL, or by completing the English test provided through the RBS admissions system (included in application fee). The required level is equivalent to at least B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The necessary scores are the following:
TOEFL iBT = 7.0

5.What is the Math Entrance Exam (MEE)?

The test is designed to ensure that you have the quantitative foundation needed for business, economics, and data-related courses.
6.Why are extracurricular activities important?
RBS believes that strong academic performance alone does not fully represent a student’s
potential. That is why extracurricular activities play an important role in the Admission Score.
Activities such as leadership roles, volunteering, sports, entrepreneurship, creative projects,
and part-time work help demonstrate your motivation, initiative, and ability to manage
responsibilities.
You should describe these activities in detail in your application.
7.Is there an interview?
Yes. All applicants are invited to an online interview with RBS faculty and Staff. The interview focuses on your motivation, goals, and interests, as well as your extracurricular experience. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about the program.
The interview lasts approximately 35–45 minutes.
8.Is there an application fee?
Yes. A non-refundable application fee applies to all applicants. The amount for EU applicants – 40 euros and non-EU – 150 euros.

Admission timeline:
Regular decision: February 1 – March 15
Rolling Admission: April 15 – June 2
Important: Applicants from countries outside the European Union must submit their application by 15 March in order to allow enough time for visa and residence permit processing.
10.Do I need to translate my grade transcripts?
If your transcripts are issued in Latvian, you do not need to translate them. Riga Business School accepts transcripts in Latvian and English. Transcripts in other languages must be translated into English.

14.Are there state‑funded (“budget”) places?
Unlike many Latvian state universities, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Riga Business School does not have traditional state‑funded “budget” study places where the government fully sponsors tuition. RBS is a public institution within Riga Technical University, but tuition for the BBA program operates on a fee‑paying basis for both EU and non‑EU students.
Instead of budget places, applicants may explore scholarships, excellence awards, and tuition discounts offered by RBS to help support their studies.
