Toms Didrihsons

EMBA Alumnus
CEO, Orkla Latvija

What are your success habits?

Persistence and resilience. Seeing things ahead.
Things do not happen overnight, not everything will work, there will be ups and downs and more downs than ups. I try to stay persistent and resilience helps.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

One can do only a certain amount. The team can do limitless.

What are you most proud of?

Professionally I’m proud to build together Orkla Latvija with the team to a leading food business company in Baltics and being able to secure that the largest investments in the food industry are attracted and invested in Laima and biscuit and wafer factories in Latvia.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I am flexitarian but I prefer a plant-based food menu.

What have you always wanted to try, but have never found the time to actually do it?

Can’t think of if anything. If I want something, I will try it.  If I have not, then I probably don’t want it in the first place.

What is your current challenge or goal?

Professionally, continue to grow the business and develop the team.
On a personal challenge – I am preparing to participate in Ironman 70.3

What are your hobbies or activities to relax?

Currently, it is a triathlon that is my hobby and at the same time for me, it is a way to relax.

How do you push through your worst times?

Persistence and resilience.  Trust in yourself, do not sink into hopelessness after the first inconvenience or challenge. Also do not be stubborn.
