The purpose of the course is to teach the fundamental concepts of project management. Projects are temporary organizations set up to achieve a one-time objective in an agreed time frame. Projects require thorough planning, budgeting, staffing, and risk management. The course has been designed for students to acquire a working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. You will explore project management through recognized methodologies, case studies, and practical assignments. You will be able to understand critical project success factors, reasons for project failures, and how to manage project constraints effectively. Project management tools and techniques will be introduced, discussed, and applied.
