Gunta Līne
EMBA Alumna
Director of Corporate Communications, Sadales tīkls
What are your success habits?
First is persistence. If I believe in what is the right thing to do at the given moment, I follow it all the way through. Second is self-reflection. It is a habit I acquired during my studies at RBS.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
There is an aphorism attributed to Mark Twain, I find very encouraging: “Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making bad decisions.”
What are you most proud of?
There are those moments when you feel that you have really reached something extraordinary as a team. Something that is more than just the sum of individual efforts. Then you are proud of your team and yourself.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Not just about me, but people are sometimes surprised that introverted people are quite often excellent communication specialists.
What have you always wanted to try, but have never found the time to actually do it?
Painting.
What is your current challenge or goal?
Part of my job is to build public awareness that the future of energy is sustainable energy and that electricity distribution service operators like Sadales tīkls have a fundamental role in this transformation to a greener future. This is both important and challenging!
What are your hobbies or activities to relax?
Books and nature (trekking) – this is food for mind, body and soul. As simple as that.
How do you push through your worst times?
Keep moving. One step at a time. Rely on external support, if needed. I remind myself how much I actually have – in all possible meanings.
