On August 12, 2024, Dr. Claudio Rivera announced that he would change his role in the Riga Business School. As of August 15, 2024, Claudio Rivera will become Director of the undergraduate program, chair of the Leadership Development Practicum course (Executive MBA course), faculty member, and strategic advisor on key projects for the Education Innovation Laboratory.

He will also be involved in Riga Business School initiatives in Executive Education, international linkages, and potential doctoral program development.

Voldemārs Innus, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Riga Business School: “During his leadership as Director, the school experienced the expansion and further development of its many activities. The implementation of interdisciplinary initiatives within Riga Technical University as well as the strengthening of our international partnerships and programs position RBS very well for the future.”

A careful and meaningful search process for the new Director will take some time. For that reason, the RBS Advisory Board has selected Dr. Inese Muzikante to take on the role and responsibility of Interim Director. She is a senior faculty member at RBS. She is responsible for faculty teaching assignments for all academic programs and serving as a principal leader in the Executive MBA Leadership Development Practicum course.

Her appointment is effective August 15, 2024, and she will serve in that position until a search for a permanent Director is successfully completed.

Tālis Juhna, Rector of Riga Technical University: “The Riga Business School team under the leadership of Claudio Rivera has made several significant steps in the development of the business school. Together with the Advisory Board and the RTU management team, Riga Business School will continue its work on the strategy for the next years. We would like to thank Inese Muzikante who has agreed to take on the role of Acting Head of Riga Business School in order to successfully lead the school forward.”
