On December 7, 2024, Riga Business School (RBS) participated in the annual Cits Bazārs event, organized by Junior Achievement Latvia and the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA). The event took place at Domina Shopping and gathered 270 student-run companies from across Latvia, offering unique and creative products ranging from jewelry, toys, and board games to innovative technological solutions.
This year, RBS also took part in the jury to determine the best teams in several categories, such as “Business Potential,” “Best Stand,” “Sustainable Product or Service,” and many others, which you can find here. RBS was represented by the Director of the Bachelor’s Program, Claudio Rivera, who evaluated the students’ ideas, celebrating their creativity, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills.
During the event, RBS selected three outstanding student companies to receive sympathy awards. These awards were presented to projects that stood out for their originality and positive impact:
- Syllabic from Ogres Tehnical school – for educational materials that help children develop phonemic awareness.
- DeLustre from Jelgava State Gymnasium – for their environmentally friendly cleaning powder.
- Veiro from Ventspils State 1st Gymnasium and Ventspils 4th Secondary School – for their innovative platform offering personalized routes and museum tours guided by an artificial guide.
The Cits Bazārs fair offered an impressive range of products, from solar-powered chargers and devices that store energy through water movement, to unique technologies for quickly drying shoes. These solutions showcase the ability of Latvia’s youth to create sustainable and innovative ideas.
Riga Business School congratulates all participants for their creativity and hard work in bringing these projects to life. We are proud to support Junior Achievement Latvia in its mission to develop the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
We look forward to seeing how these young innovators will develop and inspire others to reach new heights!
