The Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology and Energy of Riga Technical University (RTU) in cooperation with RTU Riga Business School has created a new, modern, labor market-relevant master’s study program “Management of Smart, Resilient and Interconnected Systems”, which will combine technical skills in the field of information technology (IT) with business management knowledge. Applications for studies are open until December 15, but additional information about the program will be available at the MERIT Open Doors Day on November 25 at 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. at RTU, Ķīpsalas Street 6a, “Moon” auditorium.

This new master’s program will begin in January 2025 and will be held in English on weekday evenings. To ensure maximum study flexibility, lectures will be held both in person and remotely. The program has been developed taking into account current market needs, attracting experts from various fields – artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, innovation management, data security, private and public sector management, entrepreneurship, e-services and healthcare, etc. specialists, to ensure the highest quality educational opportunities.

Thanks to the European Union (EU) funding under the Digital Merit program, or Digital Europe, students who are European citizens and will start their studies in January 2025 will have the opportunity to study for free.

“Unlike traditional MBA study programs, this program offers a combination of technical knowledge and strategic management skills. This unique combination provides graduates with the necessary competencies to occupy high-level leadership positions, where both technical knowledge and business understanding are required for success. We predict that graduates of the program will be prepared to lead IT teams, develop strategic IT plans, and ensure that technology investments meet overall business goals.” -Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of RTU, Professor Agris Nikitenko
