DESCRIPTION:On March 7–8\, 2026\, Riga Business School will host its first international university debate tournament\, RBS IV\, bringing together students from Latvia and across Europe for two days of intensive academic debate in the British Parliamentary format. \nOrganized by the Riga Business School Debate Club\, the tournament aims to promote critical thinking\, structured argumentation\, and constructive dialogue among students while strengthening Riga Business School’s position as an internationally engaged and intellectually active academic environment. \nTournament Structure \nDuring the two-day event\, participants will compete in five preliminary rounds\, followed by semifinal and final debates featuring the highest-ranking teams. The tournament will be adjudicated by experienced judges from the Baltic and international debating community\, ensuring high academic standards and fair evaluation. \nIn addition to competitive rounds\, the event will include networking opportunities and social activities that encourage collaboration and exchange between students from different universities and countries.

DESCRIPTION:Greenhouse 2026 is a free\, intensive three-week pre-university program by Riga Business School\, designed for motivated 10th–12th grade students interested in exploring futures in business. Held from January 17 to February 7\, 2026\, the program combines online learning with in-person sessions\, giving participants a real taste of the RBS study environment. \nThroughout the program\, students join lectures\, workshops\, and mentoring sessions led by RBS faculty\, current students\, and industry experts. Participants work in teams on real challenges provided by partner companies. The experience culminates in a final pitch event where teams present their solutions and compete for scholarships and study-fee discounts. \nGreenhouse 2026 helps students develop essential skills such as critical thinking\, teamwork\, problem-solving\, and presentation skills\, all while studying fully in English. DESCRIPTION:Riga Puzzle Day is a logic game borrowed from Harvard University\, where it has already become a tradition. During the game\, both school students and university students are invited to solve tricky logic tasks\, using their creativity and problem-solving skills. The tasks are designed to be engaging and to encourage critical thinking.  \n  \nFor the third logic game in Riga\, we invite 11th–12th grade students of Riga\, representing their schools in teams of 2–3 students.  \nDuring the game\, students will receive 10 logic tasks\, which must be solved within three hours. Each task has only one correct answer\, and it is a single word. Students may use the internet to complete the tasks. The winning team will be the one with the highest number of correct answers in the shortest time. The three teams with the highest results will receive prizes from the supporters of the game.  \nWithin this initiative\, Riga Municipality and Riga Business School aim to invite more young people to:  \n\ndevelop problem-solving and creative thinking among students; \n\n\ninvolve students in solving logic tasks\, which are the basis for further learning of programming; \n\n\npromote students’ collaboration skills in problem-solving; \n\n\nfoster students’ interest in information technologies and engagement in programming. \n\n“This has already become a great tradition\, where students from many Riga schools are brought together to embark on a shared adventure – searching for solutions to unprecedented tasks\, using logic\, creativity\, and teamwork. Traditional square hats will also be provided. All items must be returned after the ceremony ends. \nTassel and Hood Placement: \nMaster’s graduates: Place tassel on the left side of the hat; carry the hood until the hooding ceremony. \nBachelor’s graduates: Tassel on the right side of the hat. \nDiploma Presentation: \nMaster’s graduates: kneel on one knee while being hooded. \nBachelor’s graduates: you will be handed your diploma directly. \nGroup photos: After the end of the ceremony\, please do not disperse and follow directions to the group photo location and hat tossing ceremony! \nEnd of the ceremony: You are very much welcomed to take individual photos with your friends inside and outside the building.
