SUMMARY:Riga Puzzle Day
DESCRIPTION:Riga Puzzle Day is a logic game borrowed from Harvard University\, where it has already become a tradition. During the game\, both school students and university students are invited to solve tricky logic tasks\, using their creativity and problem-solving skills. The tasks are designed to be engaging and to encourage critical thinking.  \n  \nFor the third logic game in Riga\, we invite 11th–12th grade students of Riga\, representing their schools in teams of 2–3 students.  \nDuring the game\, students will receive 10 logic tasks\, which must be solved within three hours. Each task has only one correct answer\, and it is a single word. Students may use the internet to complete the tasks. The winning team will be the one with the highest number of correct answers in the shortest time. The three teams with the highest results will receive prizes from the supporters of the game.  \nWithin this initiative\, Riga Municipality and Riga Business School aim to invite more young people to:  \n\ndevelop problem-solving and creative thinking among students; \n\n\ninvolve students in solving logic tasks\, which are the basis for further learning of programming; \n\n\npromote students’ collaboration skills in problem-solving; \n\n\nfoster students’ interest in information technologies and engagement in programming. \n\n“This has already become a great tradition\, where students from many Riga schools are brought together to embark on a shared adventure – searching for solutions to unprecedented tasks\, using logic\, creativity\, and teamwork.
